Validity of certification granted by National Registry of Contractors
Ruling No. DG/2014/A-0122, issued by the National Service of Contracting, was published in Official Gazette No. 40,519 of October 15, 2014. The Ruling establishes that the validity of the certification that grants the National Registry of Contractors (Registro Nacional de Contratistas - “RNC”) for the natural persons or legal entities whose fiscal year closes on December 31, will be one (1) year counted as from July 1 of each year. For natural persons or legal entities whose fiscal year closing does not correspond to December 31, the validity of the certification will be one (1) year counted as from the first day of the seventh month following the closing of the fiscal year. Likewise, natural persons and legal entities registered with the RNC have the obligation to renew their data on an annual basis, and such renewal must be made within one hundred and eighty (180) days after closing of the corresponding fiscal year. As from the publication date of the Ruling in the Official Gazette, the current validity of the certificates previously issued that have not expired, will be extended for one hundred and eighty (180) days following the closing of the fiscal year of the certificate holder. Such date will be established as the date for the next annual renewals.
