Time Extension. Prepackaged Product Control Registry/Exhaustion of Packages and Labels

The Ministry of the Popular Power for Economy and Finance and the Central Office of the Command for Sovereign Supply issued the following Resolutions, published in Official Gazette No. 41.329 of 01/26/2018: 

(i) Resolution (No. 013/No. 012) that grants a one-year extension for the expired registries of Prepackaged Product Control (Control de Producto Preenvasado  - CPE) that are considered strategic for the satisfaction of  essential needs. Said products are: rice, coffee, sugar, wheat flour, cornflour, pasta, powdered milk liquid milk, grains, vegetable oil, margarine, butter, tuna, sardine, mayonnaise, vinegar, and salt. The Resolution will be applicable to the aforesaid products produced, commercialized or imported by small, medium-sized, and large companies and to the craftsmen and innovators whose Prepackaged Product Control Registry is expired or is to expire within the six (6) months following  the publication of this Resolution.

(ii) Resolution (No. 014/No. 013) that grants a one-year extension for the exhaustion of packages and labels of products that suggest variations, such as grains and pasta while their situation is regularized at the National Autonomous Service of Standardization, Quality, Metrology and Technical Regulations (Servicio Autónomo Nacional de Normalización, Calidad, Metrología y Reglamentos Técnicos - SENCAMER). The Resolution will be applicable to small, medium-sized, and large companies of social production, as well as to importers, craftsmen, and innovators, whose packages and labels suggest variations within the same kind of goods.

The aforesaid Resolutions became effective upon publication in the Official Gazette.
