Single Mandatory Standing Registry of Agricultural Producers (“RUNOPPA”)

Resolution No. DM/No. 037/2014, issued by the Ministry of the Popular Power for Agriculture and Lands (“MPPAL”), was published in Official Gazette No. 40,477 of August 18, 2014. Said Resolution creates the Single Mandatory Standing Registry of Agricultural Producers (Registro Único Obligatorio Permanente de Productores Agrícolas - “RUNOPPA”).

All natural or legal persons that carry out activities related to primary agricultural production, in a direct manner, must be registered with the RUNOPPA, through the State Units and entities assigned to the MPPAL. The producers registered with the RUNOPPA may request a Registration Certificate from the State Units of the MPPAL or through their digitally created profile on the relevant web site. The registration with the RUNOPPA must be renewed on an annual basis.

The Resolution repealed Resolutions DM/Nos. 203 and 243, published in Official Gazettes Nos. 37.796 and 38.261, respectively, of October 14, 2003 and August 30, 2005, also respectively.

The Resolution became effective upon its publication in the Official Gazette.
