Obligation to provide information about principal economic activity
Administrative Ruling No. 0066 was published in Official Gazette No. 40,262 of October 1, 2013. The Ruling imposes on legal persons, communities, and incorporated or unincorporated entities the obligation to provide the National Integrated Service of Customs and Tax Administration (Servicio Nacional Integrado de Administración Aduanera y Tributaria - “SENIAT”) with the information relating to their principal economic activity, according to the technical specifications and conditions established in SENIAT’s web site (http://www.seniat.gob.ve).
The Ruling establishes a period of three (3) months, after its publication in the Official Gazette, in order to present the information relating to the principal economic activity. It also establishes that the taxpayers that modify their principal economic activity after having provided the information required must inform it in the month following that of the date of the modification.
The Ruling became effective upon its publication in the Official Gazette.
