List No. 2 of Medicines under a Regime of Sale “Without Medical Prescription”

Resolution No. 035, issued by the Ministry of the Popular Power for Health, was published in Official Gazette No. 40.143, dated April 9, 2013.  The Resolution contains List No. 2 of Medicines under a Regime of Sale without Medical Prescription.

The Resolution authorizes the sale without medical prescription of 154 medicines labeled according to their active principle; they include, mainly, Aceclofenac, Acetaminofen, Boric Acid, Alcohol, Benzydamine, Vitamin A-Vitamin C-Vitamin D3, Vitamin A-Vitamin D3, and Vitamin D, in addition to hormonal contraceptives that were excluded from the first list.

The Resolution became effective upon its publication in the Official Gazette.
