Law for Productive Youth
The Decree with the Status, Value, and Force of Law for Productive Youth was published in Official Gazette No. 40.540 of November 13, 2014. The purpose of said Decree is to promote, regulate, and consolidate the mechanisms for the participation of young people in their incorporation into the social process of work.
Article 3 of the Decree prescribes that it will govern the conditions and opportunities for the incorporation of young people up to thirty (30) years of age in the social process of work.
Also, the National Registry of Working Youth is created. According to article 10, the purpose of the same is to collect personal information of the young people, taking into consideration their aptitudes and calling. .
Finally, according to article 13, young people registered with the National Registry of Working Youth will be admitted as trainees by the work entities. The work entities must also send to the entity with competence over youth-related matters a report relating to the follow-up and evaluation of the young people subject to this method.
