Increase in Minimum Salary
Presidential Decree No. 2.660, dated January 9, 2017 was published in Official Gazette No. 41.070 of the same date. Through said Decree, the national minimum salary was increased 50%. The increase will enter into effect as from January 1, 2017, and the minimum salary as from said date will be as follows:
a) Bs. 40.638,15 per month for workers of the private and public sectors.
b) Bs. 30.221,85 per month for adolescents and apprentices.
