Increase in Minimum Salary
Presidential Decree No. 3.232, dated December 31, 2017, was published in Official Gazette No. 6.354 Extraordinary of December 31, 2017. Through said Decree the mandatory minimum monthly salary was increased 40% in all of the national territory. The increase entered into effect as from January 1, 2018 and the minimum salary as from said date is as follows:
a) Bs. 248,510.41 per month for the workers of the private and public sectors.
b) Bs. 186,382.81 per month for adolescents and apprentices.
