Electric Energy Demand / Preventive Actions

The Ministry of the Popular Power for Electric Energy published in its web page a Notice that informs that the National Executive decided to take the following preventive actions in relation to the hydroelectric and thermoelectric power generation:

 

1. The working hours of the centralized and decentralized public sector will be adjusted six (6) consecutive hours.

2. The National Government will take the necessary measures to guarantee that the great electric energy consumers of the private sector, such as malls, hotels, commercial establishments in general, efficiently reduce electric energy consumption. In order to guarantee immediate compliance with the technical-administrative measures of Resolution Number 35 and reduce 10% of their consumption, inspections and controls will take place. The activation of the self-generation of power available in the private sector will be requested during the hours considered to be of peak demand: from 12 m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
