Fire Freeze of CPT Workers

Resolution No. 10.002, dated November 28, 2016, issued by Ministry of the Popular Power for the Social Process of Work, was published in Official Gazette of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela No. 41.045, dated December 5, 2016. Article 1 of said Resolution prescribes that the workers members of the Worker Productive Councils (Consejos Productivos de Trabajadores - CPT)  may not be dismissed or transferred, nor may their employment conditions be worsened, for a period of one (1) year after the time of their designation, without a justified cause previously approved by the Labor Inspector, pursuant to the Organic Law of Work and Workers.    

 

Resolution No. 10.002 became effective upon publication in the Official Gazette.
