Exclusion of the USA from list of countries benefited from the suppression of Non-immigrant Visas

A Joint Resolution issued by the Ministries of the Popular Power for Internal Affairs, Justice, and Peace and for Foreign Affairs was published in Official Gazette No. 6,177 Extraordinary of February 28, 2015. Said Resolution establishes the exclusion of the USA from the list of countries benefited from the suppression of Non-immigrant Visas (Tourists) in Ordinary Passports. It provides that US nationals who are holders of an ordinary passport issued by the authorities of said country must comply with the legal and sublegal rules that establish the procedures for granting tourist visas. The Resolution partially repealed Resolution No. 116 of the Ministry for Internal Affairs and Justice published in Official Gazette of March 27, 2007.

The Resolution became effective upon its publication in the Official Gazette.
